Three Data Centers, One Software System Across NOC, EPMS, BMS, SCADA, and DCIM

0.LAT (Zero Latency) is a distributed AI infrastructure company. Zerogrid, its AI inference grid, treats AI workloads as first-class routing primitives, dispatching inference decisions to edge capacity that satisfies latency, geo-spatial, and other operational workload constraints. It has active sites across the US. Aravolta unified operations across facilities with a single EPMS, BMS, DCIM, and NOC stack, replacing 12+ disconnected systems.

Aravolta was a very quick and efficient platform to bring online. We went from outboard and fragmented manual tracking methods and remote management capabilities, to a unified building, electrical, network, and data center management platform, across multiple locations and geographies. The Aravolta team was (and remains) incredibly responsive, and the platform worked seamlessly with our existing infrastructure. Additionally, the Aravolta SMART NOC stack is flexible and customizable, allowing for the adoption of only those modules needed.

The Situation

Zero Latency operates multiple modular data center sites with independent EPMS, BMS, DCIM, and NOC tooling. Each facility used different vendors and workflows, slowing commissioning and complicating daily operations.

Operators needed a unified control plane that would standardize monitoring, alerting, and reporting across multiple locations in Southern California and Central Florida deployments.

They also needed fast, comprehensive data coverage across every device type so the NOC could see power, cooling, and network health in one view within days, not months.

What Each System Covers

Aravolta unifies the core operating layers used to run modern data centers. Each layer has distinct responsibilities and includes the features below.

NOC

Network Operations Center — central command for live monitoring, incident response, and escalation.

  • Unified alerting and severity workflows
  • Cross-site dashboards and health views
  • Incident routing and escalation paths
  • Operational reporting and audit logs

EPMS

Electrical Power Monitoring System — power telemetry and protection for utility, switchgear, UPS, and distribution.

  • Real-time power metering and breaker status
  • Load and capacity monitoring
  • Power quality and waveform trends
  • Alarm thresholds and event history

BMS

Building Management System — environmental control for cooling, airflow, and facility conditions.

  • Cooling plant and CRAC telemetry
  • Temperature, humidity, and airflow sensors
  • Setpoint control and automation
  • Alarms and environmental trends

DCIM

Data Center Infrastructure Management — asset, capacity, and operational visibility across rooms and racks.

  • Asset inventory and location tracking
  • Rack capacity and utilization views
  • Topology and dependency mapping
  • Change tracking and reporting

What Aravolta Did

Aravolta deployed a full-stack EPMS, BMS, DCIM, SCADA, and NOC layer across all sites, replacing more than 12 disjoint systems and consolidating operations into a single workflow. The rollout prioritized speed: standardized collectors, rapid device discovery, and immediate telemetry across power, cooling, and network systems.

Rapid Site Enablement

Collectors deployed fast to bring EPMS and BMS data online across all three facilities within days.

SCADA + Device Telemetry

Normalized data from generators, UPS, switchgear, cooling systems, and network devices into a single model.

Unified NOC Operations

Centralized alarms, escalation, and reporting so the NOC could respond consistently across sites.

Multi-Site DCIM Visibility

One dashboard for assets, capacity, and facility health across Burbank, Baldwin Park, and Orlando.

The Result

Zero Latency moved from fragmented tooling to a unified operating system across EPMS, BMS, SCADA, DCIM, and NOC workflows. The team gained fast, reliable telemetry for every device type and a repeatable playbook for new modular deployments.

12+ Systems Retired

Legacy tools consolidated into a single operational layer without replacing core infrastructure.

Telemetry in Days

Every power, cooling, and network device reporting into the platform within days of deployment.

Unified NOC Response

Consistent alarm routing, escalation, and reporting across all facilities.

Scalable Modular Playbook

Standardized commissioning process to bring new sites online quickly with full visibility.
